The Unified Global Wrestling Coalition Logo revolves on the screen as the opening chords of Karma to Burns ’32’ play over it. The logo revolves for a few moments before we zoom directly into Los Angeles and then to New York, before a highlights package begins to play. Reminding us of Red Fusions LWF World Championship win at Lockmania in a gruelling match with fellow UGWC ‘Entertainment Professionals’ Derick Felix, John Russo and Medos. We are reminded of the Dynamite Impact that eliminated Lone Wolf, Medos falling to a John Russo Superkick, and the two Virus’ of Life that completed to most amazing night in his LWF career.
We are then given a brief, but brutal, reminder of the carnage that remained after the violent final confrontation between The Covenant and The GIW Resistance, we see Dirge hauling Tate Levene’s Mobility Scooter in the air and sending it crashing down on Donovan Hastings, Jet Somers going hog wild with the ring bell, Travis Roberts and Chassie Fear repeatedly slamming each other’s bloody faces into the guard rail. We finally see Unified Global Champion Donovan Hastings straining in pain as he exerts pressure on The Greater Evil whilsat the Hands of Fate were locked in.
We then see a quick fire montage of action from both Lockmania and Dark Days, before the music finishes playing, and we then turn our attentions to a new scene, the plush surroundings of an executive office, glass windows reach from floor to ceiling, stretching out beyond them is a sprawling city mass, and the room quite clearly towers above every other building in sight. A large glass desk sits in front of this magnificent sight, and behind it sits a balding man, with a look of assurance that rests firmly on his face.
This man is familiar to those regular Global Impact Wrestling viewers who have chosen to watch this debut show, and will become recognisable to anyone who continues on with this new venture. Sat behind the desk is the Unified Global Wrestling Coalitions Creative Division’s Head, ‘The Auteur’ Moss Edwards. He forms a pyramid with his fingers as the camera zooms in on him, and he leans into the camera and smiles.
Moss: Welcome to this historic occasion! Tonight you will be a part of an event, so revolutionary in its importance to the industry, that it will be spoken about for generations to come, as the day the Sports Entertainment business was taken screaming into the Twenty-First Century.
Moss: In just a few short minutes the very first ever edition of the Unified Global Wrestling Coalition’s weekly show Synergy will begin, and I can guarantee it will be one hell of an event, but that is not why I have chosen to address you all tonight.
Moss: It is to speak about the bigger picture, tonight’s show is just the start, but it represents something monumental. Tonight will see the beginning of the evolution of our business as the best parts of the Lock Wrestling Federation and Global Impact Wrestling combine with the creative and intellectual talents that brought the Unified Global Wrestling Coalition to life, and the reaction that will ensue will define our Industry forever.
Moss: There will be no clichéd wars, that’s not the kind of lazy entertainment that ‘The Auteur’ will let pass. Lessons have been learned from the many inter-company wars that have failed so incredibly in the past, and the ‘Entertainment Professionals’ hired by UGWC are committed to this, alongside our vision for the future.
Moss: Very shortly my esteemed colleague Dexter Vines will explain more of the intricate details regarding the upcoming weeks and some information regarding UGWC’s first ever Pay-Per-View. No doubt you have been made aware that there have already been many changes to the structuring of UGWC that makes us a unique and exciting new page in the history of wrestling. From our lucrative Purse System that rewards our ‘Entertainment Professionals’ for their consistency and creativity, to our Radical approach to how we deliver our shows to you the viewer. Now all that’s left is to sit back and enjoy the ride...
With that the camera quickly pans around, as Moss reaches for his mouse, it looks over The Head of Creative’s shoulder, and focuses on his Computer Screen, a window pops up, we see the UGWC Logo, and the words LOADING flash repeatedly until....
