I'll get to CM Punk in a second... but back to the Big Show.
Big Show, even as The Giant, had absolutely no wrestling ability. A jumping chokeslam is seriously his most impressive move... in the history of his wrestling career. That, and taking a superplex from Brock Lesnar that "collapsed" the ring.
Show's interviews are flat out sad to listen to. His voice makes you think he's eating cream of wheat while talking and they say next to nothing aside from "I'm big, I'll crush you" which makes Ivan Drago rather upset.
Show's weight fluctuates between 440 (at the smallest I've heard him billed at) to WAY over 500 pounds. At 440, he actually looked in pretty damn good shape, but he's never going to maintain that. Tell me the last time you were excited to see Big Show WORK a match? Tell me the last time Big Show worked a match for more than 12 minutes?
Big Show is nothing more than a supersized Nathan Jones and if it weren't for his acromegaly, he'd be working as a bouncer somewhere.
Now, onto CM Punk.
CM Punk had a great feud with Samoa Joe in ROH that was fuckin brilliantly worked. The feud with Hardy has been brilliantly worked what with the Straightedge Superstar against the "Enigmatic Crackhead" that Hardy has been.
In the ring, Punk is fluid, entertaining and unpredictable. Money in the Bank matches prove that.
As a wrestler: 8.5 As a performer: 8.5
I'll keep that number and give him an overall 8.5
okay, someone that people will be either one side or the other on...
John Cena gets a 5 for in-ring ability and diversity of repertoire, but a solid 8 for personna and gimmicky merchandising potential. Overall, I give him a 7.
Raven is my all-time favorite, he's vastly underrated due to him being a really weird dude.
Rob Van Dam

I've always been a fan of the man and yeah, I would be hyped to see him (depending on the opponent).
Like I said, I know he can be lazy. That aside, he should never have to speak. I've never thought of mic ability as an important aspect of wrestling. If you can't speak, you get a manager – simple. I liked Show with Heyman in his corner.
And I don't think you need the most impressive repertoire to be a good wrestler, especially when you're so big. All you have to do is beat the hell out of your opponent.
I heard he did a moonsault too but I don't know if it's on film. His dropkick was always awesome.
Now, I'm not saying he's the best wrestler or the best big man but for what he was, he was pretty good. (I think) If he'd been booked better, like as a monster and had a manager – he could've been AWESOME. IMO
As for AJ!
In ring, maybe a 8? He is a pretty awesome wrestler but I can't remember much about his psychology etc... I know he's capable of more than you'll ever see him do in TNA. Watch AJ in ROH for a real experience of the man.
As for character... well, he would've got marked low a year or 2 or 3 ago but now he'd probably get... a 7? I think that's right.
If anyone else would like to rate AJ, go for it coz I'm not really an expert on him.
I'd give AJ an 8 on the in-ring abilities. The man's a ninja, or some shit. For personna, I feel he's a bit underrated. He gave a pretty damn good (IMHO) backstage promo last week on iMPACT!, so I think he deserves an 8 there too. I guess that puts him at an overall 8. Not quite a legend yet, but well on his way in my eyes. I just hope he never fucks up by letting Vince pay him big bucks to shit all over him. He could use a bit more variety, though, he's kind of become a one-trick pony. I wish they'd have given more life to his goofy personna when he was teamed with ol' black beard.

I haven't actually seen much of the Dynamite Kid apart from vague memories of the British Bulldogs, which I know was not the height of his career. I have heard quite a bit about him being a complete and total lunatic and asshole, though, and he was Benoit's childhood hero so we can blame him for that whole business too.
As a wrestler, I cannot give him a fair score having not seen him As a human being, 1. His wife was going to shoot his kid right between the eyes just to keep them away from him.
Also, he shoved a shotgun in his wife's face 'but it's okay 'cause it wasn't loaded'. LOL
Yeah, he was a jerk. I wouldn't go as far as blaming him for Benoit, though.
Okay so I'll rate this one myself.
10/10 for ring and 10/10 for entertainment. LOL Actually, I'd score him lower for entertainment... He wasn't great on the mic (from what I've heard). I only remember one line about Davey Boy being a 'test tube baby'. That was classic.
If you want to see the man wrestle, I'd watch Dynamite v. Tiger Mask, v. Bret Hart and against a big man v. Stan Hansen. Hey, pretty much anyone. I can't say I've ever seen a bad DK match. He was so diverse. So you should watch some of his British work, too! Although his matches against Rocco were more like brawls than mat wrestling classics.

totally agree with your sentiments on Jake the Snake.
Dude was also incredibly entertaining in his heyday on the microphone. Shame he never got a belt, but alcoholics rarely do.
Norton's a legend in Japan... so I guess that gives him a 10 for "Japanese influence" Norton's a trivia question that nobody asks here in America so that gives him a 2 for "American Influence. Norton's matches were difficult to watch and he was always the muscle behind Buff Bagwell in the nWo during the Vicious and Delicous days. 5 on that tag team.
What about the tag team Scott Norton was in before he joined the nWo? Anyone nerdy enough to know that bit of trivia?
I always thought Buff was way underrated. For personna, I give him a 10. He played that whole "I'm Buff, and I'm the stuff" thing to perfection. In-ring, I give him a 6, although coming back after that nasty neck injury that Rick Steiner's dumb ass gave him, that was impressive. Overall, Buff gets an 8 in my book.

Scott Norton was the tag team partner of Ice Train. And no, I didn't wiki that. Fuck what the name was, but that was his tag partner.
Buff's neck injury was a bitch, but he loses points in my book for the American Males.
Rhino is another completely underrated wrestler and, unless you've seen him in ECW, he's a bitch.
ECW Rhino, 9.5, second only in my book to Raven.
WWF Rhino, 7, if only for the one promo he had with Edge, Christian and Angle where he said "I'll bleed for you man... BLEED for you"
TNA Rhino is a fuckin prostitute. He can't beat ANYONE anymore. He's a bitch, a punk, and he's just fodder for anyone and everyone. Shit, they've got him being a "mentor" to some schmuck with a horrible Mr. T haircut who will, inevitably, turn on him and beat him. He gets a 3 only for the feud he had with James Storm when they played on his alcoholism.
I'll give Rhino an overall 6.75 because everything after ECW closed has shit on his legacy.
